• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Must have a Bachelor’s (preferable) or Associate’s degree in a field of administration.
• 3 years experience as a Purchasing Agent.
• Be accountable and hold others accountable.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with sales, customer service, buyers and plant staff, supporting internal clients with expert knowledge and services.
• Prepare and maintain improvement reports with vendors on a weekly basis.
• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for suppliers and equipment.
• Report to Purchasing Manager any variance, discrepancy and/or issues with inventories, prices, deliveries, etc.
• Price and credit term negotiation with vendors.
• Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
• Initiate vendor research, cost reductions and ensure that material supply is the best in cost, service and quality.
• Maintain frequent communication with Operative Departments to ensure project/quotations and deliveries are on schedule, and the proper supply to the Plant.
• Promote continual improvement.
