Chartered Accountant
HalifaxOur client, a well established and reputable accounting firm working with medium to large owner-managed businesses is looking for a Chartered Accountant to join forces with their Halifax team. The majority of their clients are based in HRM so there is limited travel and time away from home.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the owners / managers of companies in a wide range of business environments providing some or all of the following services:

Preparation of financial statements and tax returns in accordance with Firm standards for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit enterprises (minimal personal tax returns).
Conducting audits on small to medium sized organizations in a variety of industries.
Auditing financial statements of business clients as a team member or audit senior.
Effective communication with our clients, government agencies and with the owners and staff.
Keeping owners and other team members informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues.
Assist clients with everything from audit and tax to payroll and company registrar.
Help with appropriate advice at times of change, integrating corporate and personal advice into a tailored solution that meets our clients needs and circumstances.
Qualifications:
Your qualifications include a CA designation.
At least two years experience in public practice.
Understanding business, accounting, tax and management principles.
Ability to solve problems, provide advice on technical taxation matters and make presentations to clients.
Excellent interpersonal skills and experience serving clients.
